Our mission is to make your Pony Tour the highlight of your vacation! We will do everything we can to make that happen!
Our tours allow you to have the best, up close and personal experience to see ponies and other wildlife such as eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, dolphin, and beautiful sunsets around Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.
During tours, we talk about the history of the island as well as some of the unique personalities of ponies, such as our most famous pony, “Riptide!”
Each experience includes a tour of the island and cruise through small guts and waterways to get you up close to an abundance of wildlife and scenery. In addition, we will stop and show you where the pony swim event occurs, of course!
Personalized tours also available such as Pony Swim, rocket launches, dinner cruises, and sunset and sunrise tours. We also do trips to Ocean City, Maryland!
BOATS
All our boats are brand-new for 2021! Our boats are 24 foot long and have plenty of room for 6 people to walk about, stretch out, and relax. The boats we run are tri-toons that allow us to get into very shallow water to get up close to the ponies and all the wildlife. The tri-toons are very stable and also allow us to venture out into the ocean to search for dolphins and other wildlife!
ABOUT THE CAPTAIN: Captain Mike
Captain Mike is a resident of Chincoteague Island who grew up spending most of his summers with family that lived on the island. He spent most of his time fishing and crabbing with his grandfather and getting to know the back bays around Chincoteague and Assateague. During the day Captain Mike enjoys taking passengers around the island in search of ponies and wildlife with the mission of making each tour the best experience possible. Captain Mike’s passion for the island and fishing continues on today as he also owns and operates a fishing charter business that focuses mostly on night-time shark fishing.
