Salyer Funeral Home on Chincoteague Island has been serving the community and surrounding areas for over 70 years. Started in 1949 by William (Bill) and Leone Salyer, it is now a third generation funeral home owned and operated by their granddaughter, Amanda (Mandy) Betts and her husband, Rick.
Offering traditional and cremation services, pre-planning, veteran services, and pet cremations all in a comforting atmosphere that the Salyer family and Chincoteague Island are known for. When a loved one passes away, it is so important to feel safe and secure knowing that the preparation will be handled by a dedicated, professional, licensed, and trained staff to help navigate you through the process of making sure your loved one is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.
