Island Artisans
Island Artisans opened in 2020 inside the historic Village Mall at 4098 Main Street. The shop is home to local artisans and crafters who create unique Chincoteague souvenirs and gifts, many from repurposed and upcycled materials. Because pieces are handcrafted, the selection changes daily.
At Island Artisans, you don’t find the “usual souvenirs” but unique and handmade items for everyone. The current selection includes wood signs, tumblers, sun catchers, jewelry, handmade soaps, hand-painted light switch covers and wood décor pieces, embroidered dish towels and hand towels, wreaths for all seasons, hand-painted home decor, glass and resin decor.
For the little ones, the store carries handmade full and fluffy tutu dresses, headbands, toddler smocks and bibs. There’s also a toy selection, as well as everything an 18-inch doll could need, including bathing suits, Chincoteague T-shirts, full outfits, furniture and accessories and the occasional new and preloved dolls.
