Cowboy Cruise Company is a locally owned and operated tour boat company offering visitors the ability to see what the locals see and do what the locals do. We explore up to 25 miles of pristine coastal marshes through small creeks, bays, and coves, for all matter of wildlife. Our hands-on experiences bring nature to you. See, feel, shuck and even taste a staple of Chincoteague, the salt oyster. We dig for hard clams, the ol’ fashioned way of course! Time to get your feet wet and hands dirty.
We offer three types of cruises: the Pony Tour, Shellfish Tour, or our very unique Teaguer Tour.
The Pony Tour visits the North and South grazing pastures of the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Co. on Assateague to see the legendary herds of wild Chincoteague Ponies.
The Shellfish Tour visits our clam and oyster grow out locations where guests can get the full aquafarm experience where they’ll dig their own clams to inspecting and picking their own oysters in our floats.
The Teaguer’s Tour is encompassing all that Chincoteague and Assateague have to offer, this comprehensive island journey takes passengers all the way around Chincoteague Island (weather permitting) and makes many stops to view herds of ponies, spot wildlife, hear some local history, and visit our clam and oyster grounds to harvest, shuck, and sample some of our clams and oysters.
