Because family time is at such a premium in today's fast-paced, technology-driven world, we on Chincoteague Island want to ensure that families can connect in a meaningful way to make the most of the time spent on vacation. We are proud of our Island community and encourage the curious to experience Christmas By The Sea.
We aim to provide happy memories that last a lifetime, and are always anxious to make new friends. Beginning with the official tree lighting of the Town's Christmas tree on the Saturday following Thanksgiving all the way to the Polar Pony Plunge on New Years Day, the season is chock full of family fun, often free to any and all who care to join in.
