Accomack County - Wallops Research Park, located in the epicenter of the Mid-Atlantic Region is the decisive location for aerospace and aviation operations, specifically for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and medium class space launch vehicles, particularly for those seeking to leverage and enhance the capabilities of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) and NASA Wallops Flight Facility (NASA WFF).

In 2014 $8M in infrastructure financing produced a 1200’ long 75’ wide taxiway that has been fine graded, with a 6” base course concrete and final 16” thick concrete surface. It’s directly connected to the 8750’ NASA runway with an FAA-towered airfield, controlled class D and restricted airspace. Aerospace Gateway, serving as the paved, striped spine road is complete as is underground electric and telecommunications, water, sewer and storm water management systems.
As of January 2015, the park is fully equipped and ready for pad site development. The park provides an environment that attracts and maintains science, technology, and educational endeavors; creating high tech jobs retaining the Shore’s best and brightest while attracting others to our quality of life. The Wallops Research Park is located in an Enterprise Zone and Foreign Trade Zone.
