Meet the 2010 People's Choice for Best Carver William Cowen
William Cowen began carving birds in 1986. His first four birds were self taught. In 1988 Bill met National champion George Walker who would become his mentor. The carving emerges as the Tupelo wood is cut and shaped with hand tools. Through the use of color, the bird comes to life. Bill's bird carving is an extension of his philosophy that nature brings us back to the essence of our being and is something that should be treasured. Visit www.billcowen.com to find out more about this very talented carver from Browns Mills NJ. We are proud to have had Bill at our Easter Decoy Show for many years.
