Greetings from the beautiful Chincoteague and Assateague Islands and the Blue Heron Inn.

We at the Blue Heron Inn believe you will find us a natural complement to your island adventure. Our rooms are simply decorated, exceptionally clean and reasonably priced. Outside, our wooded setting is maintained as naturally as possible, making it a perfect haven for turtles, rabbits, deer and numerous species of birds.

More specifically, the Blue Heron Inn is a two-story, 50-room inn located 500 yards from the entrance to Assateague Island. Our close proximity to Assateague makes it ideal for bicyclists or early risers who enjoy walking or jogging the beautiful trails.

The Blue Heron Inn offers either rooms with two double beds or rooms with one queensize bed. Nonsmoking rooms are available.

All rooms are equipped with all the basics, including cable TV and refrigerators. There is a large lobby/sitting area where you will find complimentary coffee and tea each morning.

Outside, you’ll find a large pool, a pirate ship play area, and plenty of space to picnic or play ball with the kids.
